Taking the perfect picture is near impossible, now imagine taking it in space.

Col. Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency had the privilege and intellect to make it on three space missions - no small feat on it's own. Now retired, he does the rounds giving talks about his experience, his time in space and a wide variety of other topics.

In this interview he talks about the challenges of managing time in space but also how he was able sneak a few minutes here and there to take 45,000 pictures aboard the space station.

Acknowledging the great awe of looking out the window and wanting to show everyone the world from a different perspective; Col. Hadfield explains how he wanted to capture the world and show the public what he saw from a totally unique perspective.

He goes on to talk about the patience and preparation to taking some of the best photography and we don’t always get it right.
