Here's the new info about the amazing 'sky replacement' in the new version of Photoshop.
Almost all photographers now have to pay for their Photoshop & Lightroom, InDesign etc monthly through Adobe. The good news about that is that everyone gets the latest versions of the software.
So, a couple weeks ago the Photoshop software updated and it has the new 'Sky Replacement' tool. The newest version of PS has a picture of pink flamingoes on the front (that's how you'll be able to know if you have the latest software).
There are two new functions for sky:-
The first is to go to SELECT then SKY and it will pretty accurately select the sky and you can do the sliders for exposure, brightness, contrast etc. If it misses some of the sky you can use the QUICK MASK tool to add or subtract from the selection.
The second is actually replacing the sky and is really quick and simple -
Go to EDIT - REPLACE SKY - this will pretty accurately select the sky as above, but it then brings up options of a whole load of library sky images (from cloudy, blue, sunsets, brilliant, etc etc) that you can instantly put into place. You can also add your own sky image if you prefer.
It's a game changer as it is so quick and easy.
